City fun!

Vic's idea...although I'm surprised I didn't think of it first!I know, I know....attractive, right??
A little 'L' surfing! Probably not the safest thing to do...but FUN! I actually had someone say "I've got money on the girl" when Vic and I were competing:-) Go me!

Chicago style pizza at Giordonos downtown after our trip up into the Sears Tower. Good thing Vic had me there to drink like a gallon of water so he could take a cup home...punk!
Pictures of people with 3-D glasses are always funny...but look at how incredibly huge these things are!!!!
Last trip downtown.... This is about as artsy as I got with the pictures:-)

Seeing the Sites...

View from Navy Pier. Vic, Matt and I spent Sunday afternoon at Navy Pier...it was a PERFECT day! It was warm, sunny and completely clear! We saw Open Season in 3-D Imax first and then walked the Pier and did some more people watching:-)

We took a walk down Columbus Drive on Monday before the guys left...and luckily caught the Columbus Day Parade! We stopped and saw Buckingham Fountain (I'll have you know that Vic did not want to see Buckingham Fountain because it's a Chicago 'site' but because it is the fountain in Married With Children!)

View from the Sears Tower. We attempted to find my apartment but no luck there....it's not so big.

So even though Vic put his life in danger to take this picture, I think it was worth it... Just kidding Victor...Nice work on the classic Chicago shot!

This isn't the best shot but it's amazing in person! It's called Cloud Gate and it's in Millenium Park. There was an atrist doing a painting of it when we were there...very cool!

Who's my next city visitor????

Six Flags Trip

OK, so even though there was a little "disagreement" about whether or not we were going to go the Six Flags...it ended up being a lot of fun. You would think it would be handy to have a map to look at when you're at an amusement park...GOOD THINKING Six Flags! The bad thing?? The fact that it was a stinking POSTER! Every time we had to look at it, we knocked people in a 4 foot radius over!Very attractive Matthew! This was in the line of what we THOUGHT was going to be a haunted house....what did it turn out to be?? Bumber cars! That's right...bumper cars! It was in the dark though....and even though we complained about how lame it was going to be once we figured out what it was...we had a good time:-)
Alrighty....In this picture you will notice that I am "alone" on the rollercoaster. Now I can tell you that Vic obviously took the picture, and Matt was sitting with Vic...so where is Alli you ask?? Oh, she's there, sitting next to me...but REFUSED to turn around because she was so scared! Good times! But I do have to give her credit...she claimed that she wouldn't go on any rollercoasters...and she went on more than one! Go Alli! Even though I can't PROVE that fact to anyone....we all knew you were there.
Not sure why Vic and I decided to go for the creepy smiles...but I'd have to say we look pretty good...would you agree?

Welcome to Chicago Victor and Matt!

My first visitors! Victor and our friend Matt came to visit me for a long weekend (LONG being the key word....oh man, they just wouldn't leave!) Anyway... Our first day was spent showing them around the city a little. Introducing to them to the 'L' was fun! They did NOT enjoy all the money that this stupid machine seemed to continue taking from them...although he does look quite pleased :-)
We went to the Adler Planetarium on Saturday morning. The planetarium itself was not all that impressive but the view from outside was perfect....beautiful day too!
This shot is on Michigan Ave. I'll admit, I'm still learning to get around the city myself so our trip TO the Planetarium took a little longer than it needed to....I think we waited for the stupid bus for like an hour! But hey, we got to people watch!
Vic got pretty artsy with his pictures this weekend. I DID make fun of him while he was doing it...but now I'm glad he did:-)
