Glow-in-the-Dark Mini Golf

Last weekend Joey and I joined his family for dinner and golw-in-the-dark mini golfing. We all had a good time....and yes, Joey and I won when we played our couples game (did you have any doubts?!)

We decided to go with the knight as our picture companion. This room reminded me of Mario Bros. I've been playing way too much Wii!Jim and Carmelita.

Botanic Gardens

Last week was my first week of vacation. After the initial excitement of not having anything to do I realized...."I don't have anything to do." With that in mind, I took action! I mean, come on...I live in Chicago...there is always something to do! I went online and searched for some ideas. I came across the Botanic Gardens and decided that I would like to take a trip out there but wanted to wait until I could have some company. Thursday afternoon, Joey came home and told me that he was taking the day off on Friday and bringing me out there! What a guy!

Although it did rain that day we still enjoyed ourselves!

We took refuge in the bonsai garden for lunch. It wasn't raining at this point obviously but believe me....it did!This little bird joined us for lunch. He wasn't shy a bit!
