Itasca Festival

Yesterday, Joey and I went to the Itasca Festival with his parents and grandparents. Itasca is a little town about 45 minutes from the city. Of course once I saw that they had crazy carnival games, I had to play them! I tried multiple times to win a fish but after a few bucks Joey said he would just buy me a fish later:-) Joey did the "Guess Your Speed" game and only lost by 1 mph! His first throw was 59 mph and we guessed 61 for the second throw....course he had to get 62! But he still won me a little stuffed frog!

This is, of course, something for kids! What makes people think adults wouldn't want to go down a blow up shark slide?! Dad, you should get one of these for the Pines...we could set it up to shoot us right into the lake! You think about it...

They even had BINGO going on in the gym!

No winners but look how close I got! And no....I didn't cheat! When we left, I felt how my students feel when they don't win BINGO after 5 or 6 rounds.... although they were playing for a piece of hard candy while I was playing for $70.00!

We enjoyed MOST of our carnival food.... Any guesses as to what this is?!
Deep fried corn on the cob....blah! Jim got it and said that it tasted how it looked!
