Not so shy

Ollie has made it clear to us that she is not shy! She will approach people, other dogs, kids...pretty much anything that may pay attention to her. And here...well. She is not afraid to lounge in comfort!

She stayed like this for almost an hour. Just wanted to be held....she's such a baby!

More Ollie...

Just a few shots to keep you updated on Ollie:-)

Last week Joey and I set up the air mattress in the living room to lounge for the evening and Ollie LOVED it! She had a blast jumping around on it while I blew it up.

This one kind of looks like she is just sleeping there...but no! She is about to jump at the bottle from her super secret hiding spot:-)

Right after her first bath:-)

First night with the toothbrush...we had to get rid of that puppy breath.

Not posed! She gets herself into the blankets in the basket and just passes out.

Happy Birthday Charlie!

Every Friday since June we have been bowling in a league with two of our good friends Sandy and Charlie. Luckily it was our night to bring snacks the week Charlie turned....well. We'll keep that a secret!

New apartment!

Yes...we moved again. Although the process of moving ALL our stuff is a huge pain in the buttwe love our new place:-)
Here is the living room the day after we moved everything over here...

Here is how it looks today...
The bare, yet still overwhelming, kitchen....

Now...Oh man....the bedroom....

Ahhhh....much better...

Wow...these are scary to look back at!
Current dining room:-)
We got pretty lucky with this place I think. We have parking, an outdoor pool, tennis courts and a dog park. OH....and 7-11 is about 50 feet away:-) We've already taken a number of Slurpee trips.
Come visit!!

Rascal Flatts

This past Saturday Joey and I went with Sara and Mike to a Rascal Flatts concert in Tinley Park. I started the evening off with a Margarita....and luckily didn't end it with one coming back up like a few people there.
I had to take this one because Joey makes fun of me whenever I take my shoes off outside..... hmmmm...I'll tell you these are not MY legs for sure!

We were a little worried about weather....It was supposed to storm that night according to the news but NOPE! Great weather for an outdoor concert!
This cup just cracked me up....it reminded me of my trips to Vegas:-)

A new addition...

OK...so some of you heard that we moved a couple of weeks ago....and I promise I will put pictures of the new place up soon but for now you'll have to deal with a few pictures of our new little girl.....Meet Ollie.

She is just a few days over two months old and is cuter than you can imagine. We brought her home on Saturday (the picture of her laying under the the leaning frame by the suitcase was how she spent her first few hours at home...exhausted from her day) and she is already doing really well with her house training and sleeping. The first night she slept from 11:30pm until 5:00am. Not bad considering she didn't wake us up at all in between. Last night she slept from 11:00pm until 5:30am when Joey got up to go to work. I brought her outside and then she fell back asleep in the laundry basket for another three hours of sleep for both of us:-) She is so much fun and loved so much by both of us.

Maine

During our week in New Hampshire this summer I spent a day showing Joey around Maine. We hit most of the spots we used to go to as kids with the family. We didn't do the beach scene but drove by a couple different beaches and Joey got some pictures.

We spent a little while in York, Maine. I obviously had to show him York's Wild Kingdom (a little amusement park with a zoo inside).

This picture was taken strictly for Jim. All he wanted for a souvenir was a Maine lobster home....unfortunately this picture and a Pilgrim Pines t-shirt was all he got.
We, of course, had to go to the Goldenrod to get salt water taffy to bring home. Here is a picture of the taffy being pulled.... just try to ignore Joey's reflection:-)

We did lunch in Ogunquit and ended the day at Nubble Light with a stop at Brown's Ice Cream before heading home.
Now if you know my mom, you would know that she would have been saying if she had been with us while we were climbing on the rocks. Any guesses?"Heavens to Mergetroid! Oh, David....tell them to be careful!!"
Don't worry, Mom. We were careful.

Candlepin bowling in Maine

When Joey and I were in York, Maine we came across a candlepin bowling alley (well, six lanes) and couldn't pass it up. I have been candlepin bowling but Joey had never done it :-)

Score sheet. A little different than the computers at most alleys now.

Even though our scores weren't what we usually average, it was fun!
